Switzler Hall bell

Built in 1871, Switzler Hall is the oldest classroom building on campus. The bell in its tower once signaled the beginning and end of class periods, but now it rings to honor the death of a member of the Mizzou family, to commemorate special occasions and on Tap Day.

To request the ringing of the Switzler Hall bell, visit the Mizzou Identity site for more information.
