Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (D.A.C.A.) is a policy enacted Aug. 15, 2012, to benefit undocumented immigrant youth in the United States who came to the country as children. D.A.C.A. offers eligible candidates a pardon from deportation and the opportunity to stay for two years with a work permit. Individuals with accepted D.A.C.A. status must reapply for the pardon after two years. Students applying to Mizzou with this status must provide the appropriate paperwork showing that D.A.C.A. status has been granted to them.
