Located at 518 Hitt St., Memorial Union serves as a student gathering place and a memorial to military veterans. It’s home to Stotler Lounge, Wrench Auditorium, A.P. Green Chapel, a food court, lounges, meeting spaces and offices. Completed in 1926, the Memorial Union tower was constructed as a tribute to 116 University of Missouri students who lost their lives in World War I. When the north portion was completed in 1950, the building was re-dedicated to include World War II veterans. When walking underneath the tower, Tigers tip their hats and speak in a whisper to honor of our fallen soldiers.
