Don Faurot

Don Faurot was a coach best known for his eight-decade association with the University of Missouri. He coached the football team from 1935-42 and 1946-1956. Faurot is credited with inventing the split-T formation. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1961. To this day, the field in Memorial Stadium is lovingly called Faurot field.
